Cherry Grove Beach Vacation Packages

Great beach vacay, you don’t need to leave food and drinks were 10/10

We have stayed at Ocean Reef many times in the past, but this was our first stay in over ten years. Things we like: location at quieter northern end of Myrtle Beach and ON THE BEACH, opportunity to stay in a junior suite rather than just a bedroom for a reasonable price. Although we had read some renovations had been done, our suite this time was disappointingly "tired"- knobs missing from furniture and closet, light not working, refrigerator freezing up, tub faucet separated from wall. Housekeeping came by with new towels but no other housekeeping was done: no sheet change, no vacuuming for a week. None of these things had a ruining impact on our stay but were unexpected and will give us pause when considering a return in the future.

Property it self was good. Parking was terrible. We were only able to get one parking pass. The other car, we had to park across the street per front desk staff. Sunday when it was time to leave, we and other cars that were parked across the street got a parking ticket for $30. We payed good amount on the hotel stay for it not to accommodate parking. Very disappointed.

View was perfect. Pool was clean and loved the options to pick from multiple pools. Hated that we were in one tower and had to go to the other tower to the front to desk to get/exchange wet towels/return pool towels. Room was ok, it wasn't dirty but small and needed some updates. I did not like how the bed was right by the main door, we could here everything ouside the hall late at night and early mornings. Loved the full size fridge and kitchen area. Had to call front desk multiple time during our 4 day stay to request more toliet paper, clean towels, trash bag. We were only given enough for one day. Beach access was perfect. Parking was easy in parking structure, however the elevators were extremely hot. The staff werent anything to brag about unfortunately. When we checked in the man barely lifted his head to acknowledge us and that seemed to be the average whenever we had to deal with anyone. The security guards were probably the only people we actually got a smile from.
